Well that is 7 minutes and 3 seconds - no wait, 19 seconds with the commercial - that I will never get back.  I'm going to the gym to swim now

Roadie gal - 2009-09-16 3:16 PM As a triathlete I'm appalled. As a woman I'm even more appalled.

Look on the bright side, a cross dresser ran 43 Marathons in in 51 days!

Seriously, with all the deaths in triathlons, the majority of them in the swim, I think it is repugnant that they downplay the swim so much on a show with a HUGE audience. Seriously, you wanna goof off in training, fine, do a du or a running race. At least then when you collapse you won't drown.

And yeah, the flirting was nash-tah. You could see Natalie's face looking *very* left out. Besides, SHE'S the hot one! (and I mean that in looks and beyond - doing the work makes her much more attractive than the slacker)

I think Today Show had a chance to show that sprint tris are well within reach of the vast majority of people...as long as the put effort into training. Instead, they just showed them as some big joke. If nothing else, it is pretty insulting to whomever thought up the publicity stunt to blow it off like this. As a producer, I'd be pretty pizzed.

Runner's World mag has a section titled "I'm a runner."  If I'm not mistaken there was a focus on Natalie a few years back, and I believe she has completed the NYC marathon.  She's the serious one.

Good lord, please give me my time back. Having said that, Natalie has run  some pretty fast marathons before in her time (3:31 in the 2006 NYC marathon) and would probably do quite well at a triathlon. Could they just get rid of Hoda though? Seriously, she was so annoying! I DNF'd as well. Just...couldn't....stand....it...anymore.
