dar89 - 2009-09-12 12:41 PM I saw Tracy with a snazzy Donkey Team Support shirt - way cool.  Who put those together?  Were they iron-ons?
I'm responsible for that, but anyone can buy them: http://www.cafepress.com/tridonkai

They offered John (Wavedog) a xs shirt.  Heh.  He isn't extra small. :-P

Fortunately that got straightened out. I was afraid that I might get removed from the premises due to indecent exposure if I got stuck with an XS.

I have a dare with the Bike Course Director to wear my XS shirt in line on Monday morning... geez, the things I'll do for a dollar!

We all have our spots for tomorrow for volunteering, but is there a gathering place for all donks done volunteering to meet at?  Deanna - you mentioned out near Picnic Point in the afternoon/evening.  Or I think Greg (GRB1) is on the Square in the evening for his shift.

We'll be done at 2 and be back watching about 5ish.  It'd be good to get a contingent together.

They gave me an extra large shirt, which I didn't notice until I was home. Bah. Anyone wanna trade? I'm gonna be swimming in mine. HUGE.

Anyway, I didn't mention meeting up at Picnic Point. I said the LUNA Chix tent would be at the Stadium Bar on Monroe Street. We could use that as a meeting point at a designated time but most likely I'll be up somewhere near the capitol when it comes near to expected finish times....

Unless you pay for a special store, you can't have more than 1 design per shirt. But, I can swap stuff around. So, after MOO, I'll take requests for swapping things around - adding long sleeve shirts, etc.

There were times out in the heat yesterday, along with having some Gastro-intestinal issues for quite awhile, that I was doubting myself if I was going to finish.

You know what helped immensely to keep me pushing after every swim stroke, after every pedal on the bike, and after every forward step?  It was the Donkey and BT super-charged positive energy and excitement!!!  You can't believe how much that lightens up and refuels a person on their journey of becoming an Ironman!

I caught some of the chalk art, too, on the bike course and run course!  MOST EXCELLENT!  Whoever did the drawings has quite the talent!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU (can't say it enough) for being there for us Donks!  *BIG HUGS*

Dar89,
Remember when we stopped to talk during sag? Did that guy who was sitting in the driveway say he was OK when you came to him?

Thanks to all the MOO volunteers and a special EEEEAAAAAWWW for the Donkey volunteers. To have a friendly face in the crowd, a well-timed "EEEAAAWW", the chalk art by the stadium, the donkey banner flying, a marking pen at the ready, to hear your name called with an encouraging word in a far corner of the course, all made this event as enjoyable as it was.  Thanks again, everyone.

I have only one complaint...don't cheer for me from inside a bar and if you must, don't wave the beer where I can see it (you know who you are)

Yep - good to meet you!

Yeah, he was good.  I think he just needed some shade and a rest.  We gave him some water and he seemed well on his way.
