OK – The Wickenburg ride of heat is shaping up like this so far:

7:00 am Sunday October 12th

Meet at the Tutor Time day care parking lot on

Lake Pleasant Parkway
(Corner of Lake Pleasant and Happy Valley in front of Home Depot)

(Corner of Lake Pleasant and Happy Valley in front of Home Depot)

Jerry - Will provide spaghetti feed after ride for those that came, or join at end simply need the head count or response form you if are feed bound!

Tanya – with cupcakes

Brian – staying for eats?

Sandy – in for full? Staying for eats?

Sally – with cookies

Kevin – staying for eats?

Tim – Tentative

Any other takers or anyone thinking about an abbreviated ride?

Darn it! I have to go back to being a maybe for this ride. I have to be at a baby shower on sunday, I need to look at the logistics. We drove to Lake Pleasant yesterday and it took over an hour to get to Happy Valley road!

I'll figure it out in the next day or so.

K. I'm in for ???? miles.  Will bring something that is edible.  Anyone out there that wants to peddle a shorter distance?  I still plan on starting at the same time as everyone else that way I can go as far as time will allow me to.

Can somebody give me an estimated time of riding for this. I saw the map in the new routes link and the ride will be just under 80 miles. I just want to make sure I have enough nutrition for the ride and since it's a group thing I'm not sure how long its going to take us. Thanks!

The plan is to go out 32ish miles and come back in about 4 hours of riding time (not counting peeing on the side of the road- Tanya- or any gas staztion water purchasing).  However, I do not want to spread the group out too much (Especailly on US 60) so if we are a bit quicker or slower the milage will change accordingly.

Most important to know is if you are coming for the food afterwords!

Yeah, I'll stick around and eat afterwards. Do I need to bring anything?

4 hours sounds good I was afraid that if we went 80 and with the get together afterwards that it would turn into an all day event. Not that I don't want to hang with everybody all day but I've got some other stuff I need to take care of too.

No time to read anything that I'm not being tested on!

I'll bring my own drink (I think that was the requirement) unless you're bringing a boat load of MGD64 from your fancy sponsorship

It IS a test.  The test is whether you can figure out where to be and when!!

I am hoping that my Team MGD 64 box shows up this week in time for me to get my Beer Credit Card, so I can bring the beer on Sundya!!!!  So keep your fingers crossed!

It is the meeting point at the tutor Time parking area (by fletchers and in front of Home depot on Lake Pleasant) at 7:00 am.  If you come a little early you could probably buy your coffee at Paradise Bakery or Starbucks.

I'm out I have to be home by 10am that day so it's not going to work out. I could have maybe done some of the ride but it's an hour 15 drive for me and I'd miss out on the food- the best part! So, hope to see you guys out at the lake next thurs instead, I'll make up for it by bringing baked good then.

Sally

So there is supposed to be a gas station called the Village Pantry‎ right on 74 before it hits 60.  Jerry do you know if this place is open on Sundays?  Ok...Just called them and they are open 24/7/365....so this can be our pit stop!

Tanya - Do you have an address for Village Pantry?  I don't remember ever seeing it at the 60/74 intersection.  The nearest place I know of is the Shell station at 30216 Hwy 60 (it's about 2-3 miles outside of Wickenburg).

Google "gas station morristown az" and you will get a map.  It is location "A".  When I called and asked if they were open on Sunday she sort of acted like I was crazy....of course they will be open, they are open 24/7/356!  So I wonder if it's a truck stop or something.
