StandsWithFist - 2008-10-10 12:22 PM So there is supposed to be a gas station called the Village Pantry‎ right on 74 before it hits 60.  Jerry do you know if this place is open on Sundays?  Ok...Just called them and they are open 24/7/365....so this can be our pit stop!

Bring your funnel as there is NO pit stops (gotta keep that pace line going!)

If you reallllly missed us, you would be with us!  I think there should be a limit to the number of freinds you can support and we want to be on the top of your list!

StandsWithFist - 2008-10-10 1:59 PM Google "gas station morristown az" and you will get a map.  It is location "A".  When I called and asked if they were open on Sunday she sort of acted like I was crazy....of course they will be open, they are open 24/7/356!  So I wonder if it's a truck stop or something.

Wow - interesting!  I must have been really out of it when I rode out that way because I totally missed it.  GREAT to know it's there, though!

I'm sorry to say that as of now I won't be able to make this ride. I was really looking forward to it and I'm sorry if this causes any inconvenience. Something has come up and I just can't commit the amount of time required to drive to Peoria and do the 4 hour ride and hang out afterwards. Sorry guy!

Maybe it was going to be on of the 9 days they aren't open if they are only open 356 days a year?

Ha Ha Ha

Hope you guys had a good ride this morning

Pssssssst............next time Jerry asks you to ride to Wickenburg with him.......just tell him you have set that date aside to check the expiration dates on your dairy products, and then politely back away.

Next time (providing Jerry and I can sucker anyone into it), we'll take the route from Surprise along 60 - smoother shoulders, MUCH flatter, and for some reason it always seems warmer (holy cr@p, it was cold this morning) and less windy!

Kudos to Jer and Shari for the great grub (and beer!) and Tanya for yummy cake today. First time I got to experience that kind of wind.  HOLY BUCKETS!!  I thought something was wrong with my back tire/rim the way I was wobbling around.  Of course I didn't get much farther than the parking lot, but I still had a nice ride.  The day did require a snowmobile suit and mukaluks! Dang it was cold.
