Mile 15, Chrissie Wellington leads the women.  Shocker.

Actually, the real shocker is Nina Kraft up at the fron, not far off the lead.

Holy crap. My longest ride to date is 45 miles. If I could hold my 45-mile pace for 112 miles, I would finish in 6:45. These guys are ridiculous...I'll get that good one day!!!

With the chase pack losing time in the men's race the marathon will be really exciting!

I dissagree about the leaderboard.  I feel the leaderboard takes away from the individual effort.  Even though the top atheletes get equal information regarding splits, it sure takes a different mindset if you don't know how far ahead or how far back you are.

But, that's just my little 'ol opinion. . . .

Loved the story about the woman with no pedals on her bike.  Broke her collarbone and just wanted to do the swim.

I know I'd like to go for brunch after the swim, too.

Jonathan is also out of the water in 1:14. I told Jacob and Johnathan that the swim can be very slow due to crowding and sounded like the current was against the coming in, as well as swells.

I'm learning a lot about nutrition just by listening to these announcers. I didn't know half these things about salt or bananas.
