CHR15 TREE - 2009-07-07 2:00 PM Surprises me that rabobank are so far behind Katusha at teh first check, did menchov loose them that much time???
They soft pedalled waiting for him.

This is certainly an interesting course. Others I have seen are on dual carriageways, boring compared to this.  Katusha shed one already, Napolitano.

Looks like Rabobank have decided to NOT loose any riders... so they might not be pushing it the same as someone like Katusha who doesnt seem to mind who they loose

This is like the roads we do our through & offs on around here. Exciting stuff especially when there's traffic coming in the opposite direction. Anyone else go out & do this sort of thing? Done it with a max of four riders. It's hard. Mustn't overexert yourself on the front as you have to grab the last wheel when you peel off.

Never actually done a team TT.  The closest thing I've ever done was when I started a break and ended up with about 12 of us taking the break to the end.  Bunch of amateur riders, but we worked pretty well together and I made them stay organized pretty well until the end.  Luckily I took the bunch sprint and won.

But this sort of race is completely different than that!

This is like nearly all the roads I ride on...

You done any CHR15. I've only done it in training, on the way back from the hills.

I've never watched a TTT before, is it common for there to be this many crashes?  If not, does this make the teams yet to come nervous or more confident as they know where the trouble spots are?
