How old are U?? (Page 5)

Whatever march 21st 1972 brings me @.

So what do you think the average age in a Tri race is?  Let's say an Oly distance...  I think 40 is fair?  What do you guys think?

FWIW, Philly oly this weekend had almost 2000.  Biggest AGs were M40-44 (256), M35-39 (229), M30-34 (186), and M45-49 (184).  Fow women, it skewed a bit younger with the order:  F25-29 (132), F30-34 (110), F35-39 (106) and F40-44 (94).

I'll turn 50 right before I do IMAZ this year.  Still feel the same as I did when I was in my upper twenties which was when I did my last IM.  I heal from injuries slower but actually get less of them.  I am a little slower but I don't train as much as I did back then so it is hard to tell what is age and what is lack of training.  It is amazing to me how fast the years go.

I'm 25 but race in M45-49.

36, so I've got just under a decade-and-a-half of competing in ultra-competitive age groups.

46 here...and...will be 47 in Spetember....and....have been in this Triathlon business for 6 years....Wuaoooo..!!!

22 with the maturity level of a 7 year old.

Old enough to be your mother...  58, did my first Tri at 57 last year, came in 3rd in my age group......................and there were more than 3 of us

40. 

This time last year, I weighed 240+ and no way envisioned I would be doing this.  60 pounds later, I'm 3 weeks away from my first Sprint.

I never saw this coming, but I love it.

THAT'S AWESOME!!!
