I changed my profile pic. This pic is from about a year ago before I gained 25 pounds. My goal is to get back to that. I am going shopping tonight and I plan on getting a scale so I should be able to weight in next week. Keep up the good work everyone. Smile

Hey Teammies,

Just wanted to say hello on this gray and rainy (what a surprise!) Friday morning. No major news with me. Well, maybe one - I'm constantly tired and couldn't not get up at 6.30 once this week to go swimming at 7am. A friend told me he's swimming at that time and I kinda like the idea of a morning swim - makes you feel refreshed and you have it done for the day. Also when I go swimming during lunch it alwyas takes more than an hour which means I'm spending less time working on my PhD. But I just can't move my lazy bum. Not this week anyway. Maybe when I'm fully trianing again I'll manage because I'm hyped up when I exercise so much. Still, even though my perfect training time is in the afternoon I feel like I failed this week.

In terms of nutrition I had quite a big urge to have some chocolate yesterday. I was driving home last night (7.30) when it got to me but I managed to pass all the shops and petrol stations without stopping. Then I said to myself that if it gets very bad I can have an orange. In the end though I discovered I wasn't hungry at all, more than that I was still full at 8.30 from my dinner that I had at 6pm, so I just had a few sips of water and the chocolate craving was gone. I think for the first time ever I resisted emotional eating desire.

Well, that's me for now - have a good Friday!

Just came back from my physio - had an appointment for 9:30 but she only called me in at 9:45 and I was out of there at 9:58. She didn't even touch my back, just gave me more exercises for my tummy and said, here I quote, "For somebody who's training so much you don't have tummy muscles at all". Now I know that I don't have a six-pack there and that my belly is all wobbly but there's ways and ways to say somthing like that. I know myself I need to work on my belly, because supposedly my bacl muscles are grand, but now I'm depressed rather than motivated to do something about it. And all I want is chocolate.

That woman is terrible!  Can you go see someone else?  There is no reason that someone who is supposed to be helping you should treat you like that!

Wow, I think it is time to look for new doctor Cead. Is that even an option? I think she is way out of line with her comments on your last two visits.

I much prefer swimming in the morning -- it's just a nice start to the day. It is really hard to get into the pattern, but once you start it gets easier. Just so hard on Mondays!!! I have been swimming at night, so I need to really get my bum moving in the mornings, too. Especially now that the pool is so close.

I went to mall to get a cell phone charger (my battery died, and I can't find charger), and just for kicks I went into a "normal" size clothing store.

I typically have to pay the high prices of Lane Bryant for pants because of my super strong (but big) bootie and thighs.

I CAN WEAR 'NORMAL' PEOPLE CLOTHES!!!

No more paying ridiculous prices for ugly plus-size clothing. I am so excited!

The cool part was I found a really sweet red jacket for only $19.99. And guess what size I needed?

Huh?

Guess?

NOT an X-large, BUT A LARGE!!!

Jenbadge,  You can always join.  Weigh ins are wed's and we set monthly goals.  Also,  Even though we track the scale number it is also about how you feel and how your clothes fit,  RIGHT offthe grid?

Welcome aboard jenbadge!!

Haven't been around much lately, maybe 1-2 per/wk... And my training is nearly non-existent as well, not too mention I haven't done much in the way of school work, nor eating... But my weight seems to be going down anyway. This morning down to 187.4 . Don't know what's going on, but I like it. Maybe if I just stay in my room all day I could lose another 15 lbs!!! Alas, I have a research paper to write, 3 assignments due on Weds., a lab exam on Mon., and 6 chapters to read by weeks end. Think I can do it, and is that considered mental exercise, or an excuse not to eat???? Congrats to all the losers this wk!!!

Ceade, you should drop that physio person like a ton of bricks! I figured she was awful on the last comment about the Irish.
