As for the wetsuits, didn't they say they would have the decision on Saturday when we pick up our packets and drop off the bikes?  I thought I read that somewhere.

Good luck to all!

they measure the water on satruday and it would be a good estimate that is what they said.

temp won't change overnight drastically.

The change in the weather is great...drop of a couple degrees, big wind, and a tropical storm lurking to the south.  Classic SoFlo!

Packing tonight and will leave Saturday at dawn.   Where are the race numbers posted?

For anyone looking for their bib # the race program is now posted on the MiamiMan home page as a pdf. Check the program for your number:

Looks like it will be awfully windy on Sunday, but for us locals I guess we're used to it.

Well, with 20 MPH winds, at least the swim is in a lake (as opposed to the ocean) so they won't cancel the swim leg.  Keep the legs fresh for the run though!  Especially you half-ironmen!

OK, I am getting pretty darn excited......
I am traveling for work, but will be back in Miami tonight (I Hope).
Pick my bike up at the shop, try on my new wetsuit, and head down for packet pickup.
Number #1624 in a green cap.

WHOOOOOO HOOOOOOO.

Oh, and keep your fingers crossed for no wind. It sucks down there in the wind.

I did a training race on October 18th and injured myself in the process. I now have a tear in my medial plantar fascia. It has not healed so I am sorry to say that I will be missing Miami Man this year. Enough about me.

Best of luck to everyone. May you have a wetsuit legal swim, light winds on the bike, and cloud cover on the run.

I too am not going to be racing this year. Gall bladder surgery and some respitory thing has made training very difficult and I am just not ready. I moved my slot to next year and look forward to hearing about how the race went for everyone.
Good luck!

No email confirmation but I did find my number (1611) on the .pdf, thanks.  Man, the wind is honking here in Key West today!  Now is when I am glad I will only see 22 miles versus the 56 the big players will have on the bike.

I will write down the numbers and run by your set ups and see if any of you are there.  Good luck with the race everyone.

wind doesnt look fun.... but it is out of the east, meaning there is alot of crosswind, and maybe 5 mile straight into the wind, with another 2 miles right after the turnaround.  I dont think it will be to bad.  The key will be using that tailwind to get up near 30+ mph !

Do they block any 20 MPH winds?  That would be perfect!
