OK gang.  Time to get out of here.  I'm going to go the Y for some ST.  Probably do the BodyPunch class. It kicks my a$$.  Jeez, I was just there 12 hours ago.  Will sleep well tonight.

Writing up a paper...sigh*

Gotta buckle down and impress my supervisor Undecided

I'll write your paper if you sit here and watch paint dry for me. Maybe create a pivot table or two from a spreadsheet.

Sometimes watching paint dry can be fun. Haha...sometimes...So maybe I'll consider it.

If I could watch it with my eyes closed I'd be a happy camper. I think that would probably be frowned upon though.

If you wore one of your 3 pairs of Oakley's no one would know.

I may have to test that theory.

If you need a doctor's note, let me know.  I will forge write one for you.

I'm out of here in less than an hour, so I should be good today. I may need one for tomorrow though. Thanks!

Hope you're feeling better by tomorrow.

Thanks Kim.

Marathon training kicked my butt last week, I need to do better this week, and a muscle spasm isn't going to help. I HAVE to run today!

Don't push too hard this early.  I decided to use the Higdon Novice Plan which is 18 weeks, so it doesn't start until next week.  With all of my knee issues I'm going to max my long run at 20 miles.  Go slow for now.  You have time.

I'm trying not to push it but I'm so worried about being underprepared.

I seem to remember you telling me to take er easy...(anyone?)...Maybe you should listen to your own advice?

You are supposed to respect your elders! I am not older than me so I don't have to listen.

Ahhh, but I am older than you.  Glad you're taking it easy tonight.  You won't be underprepared.

I was really hoping you didn't catch on to that.

Okay...so I need to stop being lazy and get some training in again..lazzzzzzzyyyyy

But I like hanging with the Aussie's...I think they are leaving for the states in a few days and I prob won't see them again for quite a long time...hmmmm...I might do an hour long easy ride tonight depending on what happens...I think I'm planning on trying to get a 15km easy run in tomorrow morning? This is my plan anyways...

5 weeks till the HIM...not feeling "ready". I actually found out that a guy in my class is doing it too. He used to swim too! Haha...But now I really have to not suck. So I'm figuring that I need to get in 3.5weeks of really solid training and then start taper.

Have my longest ride this Sat planned out. I think I'm going to go from where I'm living up to a place called Duncan and back...Will be over 100km...I'll have to officially map it out to see the distance. It goes over a mountain pass called the Malahat.

So...I lied about Duncan...its about 140km away...haha...I might turn back earlier than that!

Also....the thread in the Iron Distance section peaked my interest about how much my ironman is going to end up costing me end total...

So I have an excel file going now: So far im at about $5600...Sure this includes things like: swim club costs, etc...

Meh...It will prob be about $8000 when everything is said an done with other race fees, etc tacked on.

Yay destination racing!!! Woohoooooooooo! IMLP!!!! Huzzzzaahhhh!!!

mndymond - 2010-06-22 3:34 PM ^^ that said, I understand the anxiety

26.2 miles is a long way. I want to be ready.

That said I am not running tonight. Just the drive home had my muscle all tight again. I had problems turning my head to watch for traffic.

I took some codeine and napped on the heat pack. I'll be taking a muscle relaxer soon.

Glad you took it easy today.  Making it to the start line healthy should be the first goal.

I find I'm better off if I don't think about things like that.  It makes me cringe. Almost.

That said I've been trying to rationalize buying a new road bike before RAGBRAI.  It's tempting with the nice discount I get at the LBS from my tri club

I had a nice ride tonight.  First decent mileage since the HIM.  My running legs are still angry at me, but my bike legs are happy.  Weird.  Toying with the idea of a century on Saturday.....

Hahahaha...This is how I feel.

I've figured out that I can pretty much rationalize anything to myself though. My buyer's remorse is reduced everytime I make a big purchase...because if its for tri--meh.

Worst attitude ever...Wink

Guess who already has a 4 mile run in and 25 minutes of yoga done for the day!

IT'S ME!!!

It is pretty easy to get up at 3:45 in the morning when you go to bed around 7:30 the night before. The pain pills and muscle relaxers knocked me out!

I'm glad I got my run in this morning though. It was 71 when I headed out of the house at 4:00. It is supposed to be in the 90's today. I think I'll be running in the morning for awhile.

I could feel the muscle tensing up during my run. I have a heat pad on it and I did pop a muscle relaxer before I left the house. It's not as bad as it was though.

Yesterday about 3:30 we had a huge wind come through here. A teeny tiny bit of rain but HUGE WINDS. Then it was gone. I went out to change the water on the trees and OMG!! A huge pine tree fell in the driveway. Completely blocking the road.
The DH and I spent the next 3 hours chopping and hauling wood. It is NOT the workout I was looking for. Even though I drank at least 32 oz of extra water... I am dehydrated today. It was 98 degrees.

98 degrees, that tree would have laid out there a little longer!

I hope there wasn't anything damaged. Drink lots. Water. Do you have any sports drink? Take it easy today!

Unfortunately our tourists wanted to actually leave. The ingrates! I do have some Gatorade and am drinking lots of water already. I am going to wait until the air conditioning kicks on to run on the dreadmill today.
