i'm using livemocha - it is web-based and you can practice speaking with other members who are native speakers, so pretty neat program.  of course, i can just practice italian with my boss and german with...80% of my company.  i will let you know how it works - i'm getting it for free but it is MUCH cheaper than rosetta stone and i've seen groupons for it a lot.

I used to live in Germany.... And my company does business in Germany from time to time.

i want to move to Germany so bad!!!  i love it there.  where in germany did you live?  why?  military?

I haven't heard of livemocha, but I'm going to go check it out now.  I've seen Groupons for Rosetta Stone, but even WITH the Groupon it's still ~$250 or so which I'm just not about to spend. 

Definitely let me know how it goes - I really would like to be able to speak more languages than just Canadian, American, British, and Australian.

How is it possible that the gate to Cher's house isn't COVERED in either glitter or feathers of some sort?!? 

I can't believe I started playing that Criminal Case game... I totally suck at finding all the stuff in the 'scenes', but I keep trying!
