The conditions of the weather...gorgeous morning...sunny blue sky...temps. in between 60o and 70oF early in the morning and rising max 80oF...also...very windy...Super-Windy...winds coming from NEE...at 20 mph gusting to + 25 mph.... and expecting same conditions for tomorrow....Yikes...!!!!

There is a Weather Alert right now of rip currents in the east coast cuz the gusty winds conditions....Thanks Godness the Swim Leg is in a lake and not in the Ocean...LOL

Thanks for updates. I am leaving to drive down now and take in a short swim and check bike in. back to Hotel fro R & R after that. Good luck everyone and dont forget to hdrate on the bike. That wind will have a lot of folks preoccupied and will dicipate heat pretty quickly as well But you will sweat and fluids/nutrition are key for this long(er) race and conditions. It has been a while since I saw white caps on an inshore lake. Tomorrow might be right.

According to weather.com the wind was 32 mph today gusting to 38.  Yowsa!

man, you arent kidding, that wind was crazy.  I got blown all over today.  The turn from the long downwind to the first crosswind, i got blown off the road during the turn and wound up almost 5 feet into the grass.  Wowo....

wind was nuts.

good race.  HIM bike was about 54.5 that is what my computer showed.  i think the last 30 min i just wanted to be off the bike.  legs cramped really bad @ mile 8-9.  which sucked would have been a sub 5:30 race oh well next year.

nice race, well done.  swim was excellent.
