I have a few spare wheels in the garage, including a tubie with DA hubs. I have been thinking about doing this. What are your thoughts about using an older heavy 32 or so spoke wheel for a disc cover wheel? I have Real Design SS 40's that I do not want to cover.
THe cover is heavy, but as I have said before... on a flat course, the cover does its job very well. On a hilly course, leave the cover at home.
That said, a LOT of people mount the covers on Mavic Open Pro, 32 spoke wheels. SO no problem on mounting it to your 32 spoke wheel.
Personally, I think, you might as well mount it to the lightest pair of wheels you have. |
