Dear Comrades,
It's a new year, which means it's time to start experimenting with alternative lifestyles. I've always been curious, even confused about my yearnings, which I've always kept secret. Until today: I want to do a triathlon. There, I said it. Uh, anyone know of a good tri store in the Tokyo metro area?

Good luck with your training and new year's resolutions-gambate!

Boho

Welcome and Happy ending Training to you.

edit:  If you plan on asking training questions at any time, please use your training log so we can take a peek and have semi-intelligent input.

Thanks for encouragement! I'm starting the year with a nasty case of plantar fasciitis, but am determined to get through it. Hopefully everyone else is staying injury-free.

Oooh, plantar fasciitis is foul!

Hang in there; try not to push yourself again too soon though, it's a bugger to recur!

Gambatte!

Welcome and get some rest this weekend to kick the stomach bug.  You had a nice consistent week of training last week, keep it going.

The weather in Tokyo's not too bad these days: averaging about 5 degrees celcius, but not too much rain. And the seismic activity has been minimal too, which is a relief. The only problem in the winter here is the lack of daylight savings; the sun comes up around 6:00 and sets at 5:00 PM. In the summer it'll be hot & humid-not Bangkok hot & humid, mind you, but plenty hot. I imagine monsoon season in Thailand is a good time to work on the swimming?
