I am in, signed up at midnight on new years. I am hoping to go a lot faster than last year. I am in start coral C though so I will have to weed my way through the masses.

Last year was my first year.  I had only been running for a total of about 2-2 1/2 months.  Finished in just over 47:00.  This year, I want to get down to 42:00 if not 40:00.  At least, that is my goal.

I'm running this with my best friend who lives in Chicago. She's much slower than me (though I'm not fast to begin with) but I'm coming off a knee surgery last month so I'll be lucky to keep up with her. I can't wait - I think it'll be a lot of fun.

I am (fingers crossed) hoping that I can run as fast as late season sans broken tail bone and run in the mid to low thirties.

I'm in, but don't plan on going fast. Just too many people to worry about a time for me. I'd rather go out and enjoy it.

The hubby and I are registered and ready to go. We usually can't race this one because of all the mass amounts of people and I really hate weaving. So it'll probably be a slow, easy fun run for us. I can just see it now...our coach will have us running 16 that day and we'll have to hop on the lakefront path and keep on runnin'.

I'm in! Hey big BT party in Chicago that weekend!

I too will likely be dressed up. I did it last year in 38:00 flat I think. I would go for a sub-35 but I'd rather act the bullocks.

Dude!  I would love to get around 38:00 but I'm shooting, realistically, for 40:00

I'm in! They gave me a decent start corral due to some fluke finish time from a couple years ago that I didn't remember running at first. Not sure I can pull off that same time, but I'll happily accept the corral placement to avoid running through the masses.

I know this race is way crowded, but it's always been a fun race. And the energy is great. We should definitely plan a BT meetup beforehand.

A plan is in the works, mostly for the nights before.

Jowisc and I are in.  And I'm in the "open" wave unlike everyone else.  I wonder if all those BTers who told me they'd run in the open wave with me, but are now in corrals, will stay true to their promises?  I'm actually kind of regretting my decision to sign up for this one.  Maybe we can at least get good weather?

Shamrock has over 22,000 people registered and they close the race when it reachs 30,000. With that said if anyone is interested they should register soon.

I'm in, be my 6th straight and what got me hooked in running and tri's! Getting some friends to run so less intersted in beating a time this year than I am in having a good time.

Don't worry. I'm in the open wave too.  Goal to make it into a corral next year.  Did 47:30 last year.  Shooting for as close to 40:00 as I can get this year.  How about you?
