Subject: Half Shell Half Marathon - Key West - Anyone?

Hey Florida folks,

Will anyone be running the Half Shell Half Marathon on Jan 27th?  I was looking around for a warm weather race to train for and so I am all signed up.  I'm flying in from Minnesota on the 26th and then spending the week in Key West for a little vacation.

I was curious if any BTers would be there, or knew anything about the race.  It's amazingly flat, so I'm psyched.

Hey Florida folks.  So no one else will be in Key West this weekend running the race?  I'll let you know if it's a good one in case anyone can try it out next year.

Hadn't heard of it before, sounds like a blast. Maybe next year- definitely let me know when your race report is done I'm curious to see what you thought of it.

I finished the race - just barely   It was a VERY nice race.   Small and totally worth the trip.  I was woefully underprepared for the weather, which is not really a suprise.  But for anyone used to the heat/humidity, I really recommend it.

Hey I was there, too! It was hot early on, wasn't it? Wish I would have ran across this thread earlier. Loved the flat course and the great volunteers!
