Not aware of any clubs, but i know there are a ton of triathletes in the area.  I live in Cary.  And Hangloose, Whizz, coredump, davidclough and others are also in this area.

Want to go out for a run this weekend?  Just kidding.  It's freaking cold and I am trying to get over the flu.  I would love to get together with any triathlete in the area for some SBR.  Maybe we can start our own club?  Where do you swim at?

Nowhere right now.  But I swam at the public pool in Huntley.  I hope too swim in the "lake" in Lake in the Hills for more practice when it gets warmer.

We should start a club in our area.  Any Takers.

The Rockford Triathlon Club used to be pretty active and have training events, but has pretty much died out.

well what does a tri club all need to do? We would not need group runs because plenty of clubs in the area that has that. Even group biking can be done with the bclc or the mchenry bike club I beleive.

mental note look into the bclc for summer group rides.

responding to a comment about triathletes in the area..................

I'm in Carpentersville, would love to meet others in the area

i usually run and bike on the Prairie Path and love it!  Right now, of course, indoor pool at LF and a treadmill-both gym and at home

We should do a breakfast or coffee sometime and all meet each other   Reese's in Algonquin is yummy!

A bunch of us out here belong to the Salt Creek Triathlon Club... it's out in Brookfield, but there's a contingent of us NW suburbanites that belong to it, because of our coach.

me, coredump, Steve-... and Schmize shares our coach...

I belong to LTF in Algonquin and Healthbridge in CL, as well... lots of triathletes out this way, for sure!

I am looking for some other people in my area as well. You are all a little too far west for me, although I wouldn't mind hooking up periodically for some weekend work. I need to get some good rides in with Schmize. I am in Lindenhurst. Anyone else in this area?

I could not find it.

I am looking for people to train with I need a littlemore motivation these days.

I would lke to start a club around Lake in the Hills/Crystal lake.  I am not sure how many takers we would have.

Maybe I need to talk to the guys in Wisconsin.

There's a Master's Swim Tuesday and Friday AM (5:45) @ HBFC...

There's a group ride every Saturday morning... (Some roadies, some triathletes) Leaving from Lundahl Jr. High around 7 am...

Both LTF and HBFC in the area have running clubs...

Do you belong to either?

I do not belong to either club.   I do not know anybody in the area to train with or clubs.

Thanks for the info on the running clubs.  Do you know if you have to be a member of Healthbridge or LTF for the swims? Running Clubs?
