PennState - 2008-01-25 8:20 AM Yes, the PB habit is only slightly less addictive than crack

LOL... I love the PB, but I literally only use it for quick 25 yard pull drill sets.  Now the fins I started to get addicted to, but now I ponly use them for kicking drills.

Me, I am addicted to my HRM - and really only for timing!  )

Until I developed a stronger kick and a full follow through I was the same way. As of the last swimming stint in Dec I'm ~equal. Your kick may be "ok" as in not bicycling, but you may not have the ankle flexibility and that can cause drag. I bought zoomer fins last year and started working on my kick and ankle flexibility (plenty of info on the net).

Whenever I 1st get back into swim mode, I like doing lap drills of; Free, PB (w or wo paddles), Fins, Free to get feedback on the proper form feel.

"porr formor " At first I thought you did this as a funny

It sometimes indicates poor form...but I have to say I once went swimming with Mike Ricci and he is faster with a pull buoy and I can also tell you he has good form.  So, I wouldn't blanketly say that it indicates poor form.

We were swimming with another girl who is a lightning fast swimmer and she can't go fast with a PB to save her life.  I have good form and the PB slows me down like crazy.

So, I have come to the conclusion that it makes boys faster but not girls.

That's why they're called pull-buoys, not pull-girls.
