I have a Garmin 305 with the bike mount. My question is with an aerobar where or how did everyone else mount Garmin?

Profile Design makes a Universal computer mount kit that attaches the 305 to your aero bars. I bought one off the store here on BT. Just make sure to buy the "XL" one, as any other size will be too small to fit the Garmin.

Slight hijack: Will it work if you have an aerobottle mount between the bars?

We have had this for a while, you can mount inside or out. Here is my setup:

How secure does it mount?

I have lost two rear strobes from my kestrel, the cover finds a way to rattle off even though that bike is smooth, so I am skeptical about mounting that expensive 305 unless it is bombproof, I could tear up a hammer.

Also depends on what aerobars you have. I have the Airstryke bars and the 305 happened to fit just fine at the top of the bars. This leaves space for the bottle on the bottom of the bars and has the added benefit of putting the 305 right where I need it when I am in the aero position.

I did have the quick disconnect kit which helped also.

Is that the XL size or just the standard?

I put mine on the stem. It is the mount that came with the quick release kit. All I did was criss crossed the zip ties and pulled them tight. Works great and have had no problems. Also a great place to look at your stuff while in the aero position.

I asked this same question a few months back, and received some good responses.
But, I could not get any of the suggestion to work very well.
I have Profile Design Carbon Stryke Aero bars on a TREK Equinox 9.
I purchased the XL Profile Design universal mount, after strong XL suggestions, it didn't seem to work securely anywhere.
Too narrow at the bottom, to wide at the top.
On the aero bars the plastic mount straps seemed to loose at the narrow end of the aero bars, which is near the stem, or way, too small at the wide end of the aero bars near the end shifters.
Maybe a standard would work better?
So, I mounted it on the stem, which is acceptable, but not optimal.
With it mounted on the stem I have to take my eye's off the road and look down. I would prefer to have it mounted near the shifters where I am looking down the road a bit.
