Subject: Tri saddle or road saddle?
I have a road bike (Felt F55) which I'll be using this season. I've never been fully comfortable with the saddle, and was thinking that a new saddle, along with aerobars, would be my likely upgrades for this year. I'm leaning towards the fizik arione given the extra length, which I'd think would be ideal for adjusting my body position on a road bike when getting into the aero position. My question is whether you all think I should be putting a tri saddle on or the road version....

Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.

Tri saddles are longer and give you an extra padded nose for when you lean forward onto the aero bars.  If you will be spending a lot of time in the aero position, it might help.   Saddles are kinda like underwear, everybody has their own personal preference.   If you are unhappy with your current saddle, you might end up trying a few before you find one that fits right.   Also, any saddle takes a 100 miles or so before your butt gets used to it, so don't give up on a saddle after the first ride.
