Probably should never have wasted his $$ in the first place? He had nearly zero chance of getting his party's nomination anyway.

His constituency window was too narrow...

I can't posibly understand how people will commit to vote on a party line here when they are not satisfied with their candidate, and the parties are so indistinguishable!!

Look at Israel, (I lived there) where the electorate is fully engaged and their are a multitude of parties representing every imaginable viewpoint.  Our two party system is not adequate for our needs.

Here's my take. Huckabee would be the choice of the Republican establishment because, like Bush, he will do as he's told. McCain is not the choice for the same reason. McCain will win anyway, because Huckabee is such an incredible lightweight that he makes Guiliani look like Moses.

Then, McCain will win as president for two simple reasons: 1) Democrats respect McCain for standing up for his opinions and (2) There are still enough people in America who will not vote for a woman or a black man.

You might as well just crown him, the fat lady has sung.

I am waiting patiently for the media to give me my opinion on this.

Huckabee/McCain, McCain/Huckabee.  Neither of these options are anywhere close to acceptable IMHO.  Paul and Huck screwed Romney but in the end their strategy worked.  Of the 4 remaining I felt much better with the prospect of voting for Romney than I do with what I am going to be faced with.

My real problem is the fact that I am going to have no say in who I believe should be the candidate as WI is so f'ing late, by the time we vote my favorites are going to be gone.

What do you mean by "lightweight"?

Eh, he spent 35 million out of his 500 million.  That is like $35 out of my $500.  He's not hurting.  Plus he is a financial genius, so he'll probably just spend the next 4 years making another $100 mil to get ready for 2012.

Bush didn't listen to the Republican establishment. He infact failed the Republican establishment. In 2000 he ran as a compasionate conservative promising a smaller government. But in reality he grew government bigger and faster than any other President in history.

No, true, but they thought he would. Instead he listened to Rove and Cheney.
