If you can't get the belt before Saturday's race, then pin it on whatever shirt you'll be wearing after the swim..but do this BEFORE the swim, otherwise you'll be wasting valuable time in T1 pinning your # on. |

Frank and his family run a great shop and Dylan is an excellent mechanic. I'm in the shop most Saturday's helping out and talking about the sport. Feel free come in and say hi (although I won't be in there this weeked) The best advice is to have fun. This is an amazing sport and it can consume you if you let it but if you're not having fun, it's just not worth it. Fire away with the questions! |

Seriously, Good Luck up in Bean Town Matt! Erin: You'll be fine, just ask a lot of questions! You're going to feel so good about yourself when you cross that line!! |

Subject: RE: Mini Mighty Man Triathlon If they posted the results we'd know! My bike, run, and transitions we're good. I did terrible on the swim. Never swam in a 50m pool before and it through me off terribly. I must've swallowed a 1/2 gallon of pool water! Must say though, the event was very organized and well run. Good Job Event Power LI! |

Master 1704 Long Island, NY | Subject: RE: Mini Mighty Man Triathlon Yeah, slow race results are frustrating. You guys had an awesome day..I got there just as the swim started to cheer everyone on. I doubt I could have competed since Ralph (rtocco) killed my quads over at Old Westbury that morning. I met up with Eddie (cobannero), sorry missed everyone else. I'm convinced you need a female to organize the BT meet-ups because most guys just assume it will all come together (and it rarely does) |

You know, this is the 4th year this event is held and as nicely organized as it has been, this year was the best yet. There was a lot of focus on detail and the mandatory swim caps was only one of many that I could point out. Also, the first year this event was held they gave out medals and never again until this year. I'm so glad about that cause my relay teamates were so stoked about getting their very first medal ever. They can't wait' till next year to repeat this again. |

They can't wait' till next year to repeat this again. Why wait until next year? They're doing the exact same race in August! |

Yes, all in all, looking back it was extemely well done and next year or this August we have to be more organized about how we can all meet up! Weather was absolutley perfect. I actually think I may have been talking to you Eddie during the breifing, right before the National Anthem. My only criticism was there was no clearly defined LINE where you had to dismount. If I had seen that I could've timed my flying dismount better

Just like last year most people only completed 2 laps on the bike....unless they were able to avg 30MPH. I avg 20.1 MPH and my time was 18:53 ! Oh well...... The first 5 places on the bike segment are suspect. 40.53 mph average??? I don't think so! OK, enough complaining. For my first Tri, I hit all my numbers that I thought I would for each segment based on my timing in training. 53:18 total Pool was slower, due to traffic at the turn and I was not able to get out of the group that was beating me up. Oh well.......... Goal- 10 min Actual- 11:15 T1 - I surprised how long it took. I had no issues with anything. I guess I need to run faster from pool to bike and faster on the bike run out. Running in road shoes sucks! Goal (max)- 2:00 min Actual - 2:07 Bike - for me it was easy. I had to make sure I didn't burn my self out for the run. Goal- 18 min Actual- 18:11 T2- again running in road shoes sucks! Had trouble getting my Zoot sockless shoes on. My feet were still wet. Goal (max) - 2:00 min 1:40 Run- struggled thru it, but hit the pace I thought I would do. Need to run ALOT more! Still had a bit in me to sprint to the finish. Goal- 20:00 min Actual - 20:07 |

Duuuuudes, like msailer pointed out, check out #27 ... she rode at a speed of 40MPH!! She completed a 6 mile bike in 8:53. When they posted the results on the back of the trailer 10mins after I finished, I was in 28th place. Now, magically, I am in 30th place. WTF Gotta love time trials. And how about the 30 swimmers that seeded themselves as 6 min 400m swimmers!! Oh wait, I bombed the swimming so who am I to talk! In all though, great race guys!! Fantastic weather and the event was very well run for the most part. I am looking forward to doing it again in August!

Regular 63 Long Island | Subject: RE: Mini Mighty Man Triathlon I was happy with the results. There were a few people ahead of me that have strange numbers but what are you going to do. The first transition killed me, getting the jersey on while wet (should have listened to you Erik) was not easy, then on the way back from the bike the mountain bike that was next to me fell over into my spot. I had to pick it up. I was happy with my swim time and on the bike, run was a little slow but I'll take it for the first event. It will be interesting to do it at the end of the season to se how the times change. Erik how was your ride Sunday? Heckcher was cold and seriously windy. I signed up for the Nassau to Suffolk 50 mile charity Ride this weekend. Anyone else doing it? hinch |

Veteran 258 Long Island | Subject: RE: Mini Mighty Man Triathlon Overall I would have to say I was happy with my Swim, T1 and T2. My Bike was slow as hell. I was a minute + faster last year. T1 was lighting 1:13 compared to my 3:26 last year. Curt – I see you had a rough time getting your shirt on :-) Can I say I told you so As stated on the race reports people seated themselves higher than there swim times and this caused massive congestion. The part that is soooo frustrating is the slow dude that stays on the left. I must have taped this guy in the foot 10x – Nothing. That’s when Curt pulled the F this move and did the steam roller move and cleared the path - That a boy. I seated myself at the 8 min spot and guess what....my time was 8:02. I was hoping to meet the other BTers, but it everyone was wearing the same cap. Time for all of you to join the SUNRISE TRI CLUB ! Tim - I can't believe you were there and I didn't see you. French - Nice swim - Holy motor boat Dream - Nice run. Curt – I just did a local loop on Sunday as I my 4 month year old son was not in a good mood and my wife needed relief. Erik |

Tim - I can't believe you were there and I didn't see you. I think I saw you, but felt like kind of a tool asking a complete stranger..hey are you from BT?? I saw the Sunrise Tri Garb..are you tall? (6'3"+). I tried squeezing my fat Clydesdale a$$ into the Sunrise Tri gear and it was not happening. I realize I need to lose weight but a Triathlon XL is not a Real World XL..XXL too for that matter! . But I am a big supporter of Sunrise Tri. Next race fo' sho! Who's doing Ironclad?? MY Race Nexus says there is at Least 11 BTers doing registered. |
