Great job, Kevin.  When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.  You do us Canucks proud.  Way to go!

Great job out there, Kev!  Hope you're not to sore from the slips and slides.  You don't own Yax Trax?  I thought that was standard issue for you people up there .

Congratulations on the first place finish!

Good report. Better race.

You seem to go down a lot...I guess that explains your popularity ROTFL!

I don't know about yak trax and racing. In fact, I think they give a false sense of security. Running on ice helps you develop muscles that you don't have a chance to use under any other situation.

You will also find that you will have some strange aches and pains, other than your bruises. You probably clenched your toes while running. You will feel it in your calves.

Also, I really have to get you that information about machs and warm-ups...stretching and jumping up and down don't really get you ready - as I have recently learned.

One masters champion around here warms up for a good 30 to 45 minutes before a race (and usually wins).

Since I started doing this kind of warm-up with the Ironman, I've had much better races.

Still, great race under what sounds like terrible footing. You aced it!

Where the pictures?

Hey those pictures are a good start!

I like how the date is on the race number...It is saying like "yeah I ran in the middle of winter...what's it to you bubb!" LOL.

very nice race....i understand the ice thing, but i second windnsnow.....dont use yaktrax never have, i like feelin my adductors work, and i like having to focus more on running rather than the world around me, or the one that resides in my head......much nicer to have to concentrate on footing.....havent had any injuries from running on ice and have slipped a couple times in the last few years.....great job....congrats....weigh2go!!!

Excellent work! Can't improve on first place!

I have to admit to owning yak trax (on sale at Canadian Tire at a price too good to pass up), BUT I have yet to use them! They've been sitting in the basket with all my other cold running gear for months.
