Run
Comments: The usual cut thru the pack for the first 1/2 mile. I still don't know why people that end up walking within the first 1/2 mile insist on being in the front of the line.?.? What would you do differently?: Train more, strart at the front of the pack, work more on hills. Post race
Warm down: Bloody Mary's at Iguanas. What limited your ability to perform faster: The day prior and the shoes. I did a nice long swim day on Saturday and didn't get as much sleep as I would have liked. I didn't get new shoes in time, so these still weren't broken in. I started to get a hot spot on my left forefoot which now is tring to surface as a blister. I know I could have run down at least the 2 guys in front of me if it wasnt for the pain in my foot. Event comments: I'll continue to do this race as long as it's around. The race isn't too crowded, people are friendly, course is challenging enough, great views...Plus it's AJ; what's not to like in AJ.?.? Last updated: 2008-02-18 12:00 AM

Wake up, eat a piece of toast, make the drive and freeze until the sun comes up...
Pray for the sun... Did a little streaching, jogged a 1/4 mile and finished streaching. Slupred a GU and was ready to go.
