Oh, and the course has changed a good bit. No more out and back on Freedom Parkway!

Interesting. Last I looked, the Freedom parkway section was still there.. So I had to go look again, and sure enough, it's removed. That's awesome.

Am I the only one who liked Freedom Pkwy?  It was the only time someone as slow as me got to see her friends.  As a matter of fact, that was where I met up with StevenTriHard (he recognized the NAMC jersey).  Not to mention, I had fun cheering on the people who had just started the long "climb" as I was heading towards home.

Ron,

Did the course look to have less hills then last year?

Hi everyone,

Signed for the full but will have to change to the half if i get rid of this chest infection in time.

I was soooooo excited to do the full but, after running the run the reagan last saturday and ending up extremely sick and weak I have no idea when I will be well enough to train.

Still no sign of improvement and I have been bed ridden since last monday, although i am taking lots of meds for it.

Be careful out there. I have heard that there are lots of chest/throat infections and an australian flu strain going around.

Are you all planning on meeting at the Expo?

Hi Gator!

Did the full last year. Haven't signed up yet--still deciding half or full. Planning on Country Music Marathon too at the end of April.

I hadn't really looked at this year's course -Full- until now but it looks to me like there's a whole lot that's different this year vs. last.. Like maybe 50% changed. I'm sure it's not any easier now vs. then but not having to deal with Freedom Pkwy is only going to help.

I was onboard for my first full. Got up to my 14 miler and my knee started aching. Darn bursitis. so a month with no running or cycling later I am going to have to settle for volunteering. Got the email at work today lookin for volunteers and thought I might as well give back.

and I should be at the CRR 10K on sat...need to see where I stand

We definately need to plan on meeting at the expo. I'm planning on being there early Saturday am to avoid the long lines they had last year (probably be there just before the doors open) We can work out the details as it gets closer!

Oh poop.  Now I'm regretting dropping down to the half.  It means I'm no longer cool.

You know Nat is out running 20 miles right now thinking: Doug's not cool. But he is doing the marathon. I can't let him appear cooler then me.

No worries on the cooler part but more likely than not I'm in for the full. Doug what is your time goal? Don't cha want to sign up for CMM to and get that cute wife of yours to do the half? Adult weekend in Nashville--much fun to be had. . .

Sarah, your still cool. You just aren't crazy like me and Doug. And I think that is probably a good thing.

CMM is the weekend before (or same weekend) as our first race - also known as the maiden voyage of Steph's wetsuit.

Therefore, we can't do that one. Another race . . . I'd LOVE an adult weekend. Seriously it's looking like I won't be able to get to full marathon mileage until next year's ING. Chicamauga is too close to the SC HIM for comfort.

edited to fix the quotes because I still don't understand HTML. re-edited because I may never understand.

adult weekend sounds like a swingers convention. How about a kid free weekend?
