Pre-race routine:

Woke up at 0600 and showered and shaved...first time for that...shave for a race that is. Then, I ate my Vector and milk....walked outside and scraped the ice off of my car. Went to Tim Hortons to order a Coffee...damned window was frozen shut...drove to Starbucks to Meet Leah. Then hopped in her car and rode to the event site. Met Ronin and his wife and decided to run at 0900 instead of 0800...too bad cause we had to freeze for awhile and decided to wait in the car.
Event warmup:

Stood in the sun and outstreched the arms to soak it in....I wanna soak up the sun...put my 45 on....so....blah.

Performance:
Course: Hilly, not bad but it was icy to begin. I wore pants thankfully...shorts would have been too chilly.....and now I know that you run the added risk of showing off your...unmentionables...and having people making fun of them. Leah was a trooper and she kept up with me the whole way. I just kept trying to push her a bit and I think it worked..if it were not for hills...we would have been under 2 easy!

Did you guys have to run past the zoo? That made no sense otherwise. I wish I had made the drive out to cheer you guys on, what a beauty day for a long a$$ run! Way to go!
