Sped down Lombard Street, listned to tunes,

Event warmup:

Stood in my speedo on the ferry ride to alcatraz. Was allowed to wear a jacket, which was brought back to the race finish.

Served warm broth and warm Citomax.

Event comments:

This race was 10 times as much fun as I expected!!! My brother-in-laws and I went medium slow, in order to fully enjoy the views. Even though there is no bike segment, the views are 4-star all the way. Swimming from Alcatraz and then running across the Golden Gate and back is fun!!!!

We all want to do another Alcatraz Swim this year, and are thinking of the Escape from the Rock Tri.
