I can carry a bag mixed with them and it can be a surprise as to which one I get!!

If this is the most exciting thing in your day, I feel very sad for you.

I always miss the fun.

For the record, I went to LSU.  Yes, that makes me better than you.

newleaf - 2008-02-28 2:08 PM I like Doritos.

Fritos are better for improving performance. I can cite studies.

Totally agree!  Fritos are the perfect food...

Ingredients:  corn, oil, salt.   No preservatives, no artificial flavors, no artificial colors...

Old school fuel!

I have to second the vote for turtles as the best training food, as we have all known since the "Turtle and the Hare" that slow and methodical is what wins races.

Ok...that's it! I'm putting red Kool-aid in my Aerodrink bottle at the Mulletman Triathlon next month. And it will go well with my Mullet wig I will be running in. Now my plan is complete!!

And I like Cheetos...spicy ones...in small amounts. I can carry a bag mixed with them and it can be a surprise as to which one I get!!

Are Cheetos and red Kool-aid an appropriate IM nutrition plan?

Only if you go under 10 hrs.   Because by then, you'll regret having it as a nutrition plan...BUT...you'll make the broadcast...guaranteed!!

Guess I'd have to decide what my goal was: finish the race or make the broadcast.

If you would just listen!

Josh: "You're not LISTENING to me, you're not understanding me!"

Toby: "I AM listening to you and understanding you; I'm also disagreeing. I can do all three at the same time"

I heart the West Wing.

What were we saying? You can't possible get  better at this sport without weight lifting? Got it.

BEST.  SHOW.  EVER.

Go for the broadcast!!  Then you can get the Kool-Aid man to sponsor you for the next one.  Think of the advertising.  No need to Thank Me, just send me some red packets and stickers.

Just because I actually render an opinion does not mean I take dissenting opinions as an attack

You're right.

But your subsequent responses tend to be on the harsh side. Whether you recognize it as such or not, you tend to leave little room for anyone to debate or even discuss an issue. You may not even be aware of it, but you project an image of being above hearing anyone who disagrees with you.

If I leave little room for debate that suggests I am arguing my side well - I put up an opinion that the article referenced was not as 'undecided' as the OP thought - and why - simple post.

to which Rick put up a picture of a dead horse being beaten and the author of the original 'don't take it personally' thread replied quoting him with a big HAHAHHA....

so I put a link to her thread and said it struck me as the pot calling the kettle black.

Rick then put up two pics of the pot being stirred - one a kid (his?) with a spoon in the toilet and accusing me of stirring things up.

so exactly where am I projecting that I am above hearing?

oh and since this is all written I would say that PROJECTING is the operative word of your post.....

I am happy to debate an issue, but don't assume that if I do not roll over to your side that it means I don't hear - particularly since on the internet I read

This was obviously one of those high-falutin'  TAN recruiting threads.  You lost me at "Deaux", but it did kill 15 minutes, which is nice.
