Comments: oold with the wind at the start. had a hard feeling first mile, even though I kept it purposefully slow. didn't start feeling good and loose until the first mile was over. first part of hill was great... then I turned the corner and saw the famous mountain. ran about a third of it, realized my heart rate was way too high, speedwalked the rest of it. really let loose on the downhill, kept a nice-but-hard feeling pace for the rest of it. mile 1: 12:28 mile 2: 13:01 (uphill) mile 3: 11:18 (downhill) mile 4: 11:25 really pushed the last half mile, and managed to pick off the stroller ladies I couldn't catch last week. What would you do differently?: rocket pack for the mountain? Post race
Warm down: gasped for breath, got my chip cut off, found out they were out of medals AGAIN (0 for 2 here) and left. What limited your ability to perform faster: giant hill. Last updated: 2008-02-19 12:00 AM

It was definitely an unhappy tummy day. not sure if it was nerves or the codeine I had the night before (dental work on Saturday).
no warmup, really (mostly just waited in the bathroom line). Definitely hurt me.
