Run
Comments: Felt good at the start. Heart Rate jumped into the 180s on the rolling hills. Needed to walk a bit to get the heart rate back down. What would you do differently?: Not start as quickly, although I wanted to push my pace to see what I could do. More hill work, since they pushed my heart rate up too quickly. Post race
Warm down: some streching and walked a bit. Had 1/2 bannana and Gatorade. What limited your ability to perform faster: Not enough hill work. Working out during the week on the elicptial, is not the same as "pounding the pavement"! I would say for myself, I was not fully prepared. I need more time on the street running. Event comments: Not many people knew where the race actually started. Herd Mentality, we just followed the group and found the start. There was one drink station at the 2 mile mark. I did not use it. I also did not stay for the post race activities, since I needed to get home. There were enough volunteers to guide you around the race course. Last updated: 2008-03-06 12:00 AM
