Just recently made some mac & cheese from scratch. This has always been one of my favorite comfort foods.

Anyone want to share their favorites?

I haven't had mac and cheese in awhile....yummmmm....definitely a comfort food. Along with cookies - not as a meal, of course but a comforting snack. I do not buy cookies for this reason.

Also, Pbj sandwiches. Or grilled cheese.

Meatloaf has always weirded me out a bit. Just seems like meat should never be in "loaf" form. Bread yes...meat, no.

Steak is also a comfort food for me. Sometimes I just really crave steak.

Home Made Tomato Bisque Soup

The only problem with this is that because I make it, I know exactly what goes into it and all I am prepared to say is that it is definitely not the best thing to be eating in the middle of a big training cycle.

But it sure is good with fresh Boudin Sourdough Bread

Ha. I'm gonna have that tonight.

Actually, I have a nice strip steak in my fridge. With a quick trip to Whole Foods, I could totally make it happen. They have sweet potato fries and tons of beer.

It kinda depends on different things: mood, problem, meal, etc.

I just had a PB and honey sammy and a glass of milk.  That's an easy lunch for when I'm feeling low.

For dinner last night, I had a bowl of cereal.  Specifically, half Cheerios, and half Honey Nut Cheerios.

I love mac and cheese, esp homemade, but I won't make it myself as comfort food.

Most of my old favorites are off the list because of either packaging or nutritional concerns.  No more boxed mac and cheese with tuna, or Chunky soup with rice, or Chicken Pot Pies.

Peanut butter on hot crusty toasty whole wheat English muffin. Yay.

And mac'n'cheese, the super synthetic Kraft kind, but usually only when I'm backpacking.

my mom's food.. the stuff she made regularly..  and NOBODY can make them like her

Ditto. Anything my mom makes ... but particularly:

- cream-of-wheat dumpling chicken soup

- German-style potato pancakes
