Both. My first 2 races are this year.

For the shorter I'm going to try the Danskin Trisuit because it holds in all my still jiggly flab... I'll likely try the shorts/top for the oly though incase I er... need to used the facilities.

I was just looking at the sizing charts for suits. According to my inseam, I'm an XL. By my chest size, an L, and according to my waist and hips, an M. I don't think I better order one of these things online.

if you order online, call up their customer service and talk to them first. give them your measurements and see what they suggest and also what their policy is if it doesn't fit.

I too was worried about the odd body sizing vs. the suit sizes available, but
I purchased my trisuit through the BT store and we got a perfect fit the first time.

Tri top/shorts. Fits me better and I do not wear my top under my wetsuit. Not the little shorts though, 6-8 in inseams. Just preference, have to put my top on during T1, so a little slower.

Last season (and first sprint this year), I went with tri shorts and sleeveless cycling jersey. After trying on a whole bunch of trisuits and tops, I just picked up a Zoot tri top (I'm already wearing Zoot shorts). I liked the relative length of the Zoot top compared to others I tried on...not only does it coordinate with my existing shorts, but chance of muffin top greatly diminished.

(...and there was much rejoicing.)

I prefer the one-piece for racing as it prevents the dreaded exposure of the belly fat.

However my team's uniforms are 2-piece so that's what I'll be racing in this year.

I will DEFINATLEY be wearing a one pieve tri suit again next season...

During one of my tris this year there was a chain in the water covered in oyster shells.  While I sliced open my hand and lacerated the top of my left foot (It's Scarred now)  i was REALLY lucky my stomach wasn't sliced open too.  Women in two piece suits came out of the water with blood running down their stomachs from deep cuts as well.  It was TERRIBLE.

It's a "safety" thing really.

I have raced in both.

Like most have said, going to the bathroom is far easier in the 2 piece.

But when I run, the tri top becomes a belly shirt and I look like Santa with a pale white belly flapping in the wind. It stays down fine on the swim and the bike, but the run pics are absolutely horrible.

I was hoping to get a 1 peice trisuit this year...but when I went to REI (I had a gift card) they didn't have a 1 peice...so I just bought shorts.  I am pretty poor so will need to wait for the full suit.  I will probably have to try to put on a shirt after the swim.  The other tri's I have done, I actually changed at each transition...pretty excited about just having to put on a shirt.
