I'm moveing back to the san diego area and am curious about where to go to find out about triathlons in the area. I wasn't into Tri's the last time I was here, so I have no clue where to look. I've found a few sites, but nothing with a wide range. TriCalifornia only has the big races. I looking for somethiny that shows any and all races in the are from Sprint to Full IM distance. Thanx in advance.

Click on the "Races" button/link at the top of the screen on BT.  From there, you can search.  You can refine by zip code, etc.

Have you looked at trifind.com? Most (though not all) Cal races are on there.

There are several races in Mission Bay, including sprints and oly's.
I know Koz enterprises does a couple of them.

The California 70.3 ( Half Iron) is this coming weekend, I forget if its Oceanside or Carlsbad.

The Marines have races open to the public just about every month, including running and triathlon. I usually google Camp Pendleton races.

The Navy Seals also have a couple of tri's on the same day in Imperial Beach. The waves here can be big, and some of the run is through soft sand.

I think the Seal Motto is, " If it doesn't suck, we don't do it".

You might want to try raceplace.com. That's pretty much all you need for all the upcoming SoCal events for the next 4-5 months in detail with links and all that good stuff.

Make sure you join Tri Club San Diego. It's a very large group full of athletes of all levels, from all walks of life, and there are training groups for everyone.

Welcome to San Diego!
