Well, I don't think I saw anyone out there, I was too tired to look at anyone's race bibs!!! I had a great race though. My swim ended up being much slower than expected, I don't have the exact split times yet but I think I came out of the water at around 35 minutes. I was hoping for 30 Pretty disapointed with that swim, I thought I had made more progress than that. The good new though is I made it up in the bike and run, both of which I did slightly faster than expected. The wind wasn't too bad and I think I averaged a little under 21 mph on the bike, wooooh!!! I've never averaged that fast on any solo ride before. Then I hit the run and I think I finished that in just over 43 minutes for sub 7 minute miles, also very excited about that! Final time was 2:35:35. So I missed my goal time by 35 seconds but it was an optimistic goal time to begin with and considering the poor swim I am very very pleased with this. I am very curious to see what my official split times are. Kind of want to wait until I get those back before I post my race report, we will see how long it takes them though.

All in all I had a blast. I loved that distance, I think it's perfect for me. After I finish Wildflower I think I want to focus on oly distance. Really need to get that swim figured out though, very demoralizing getting passed by a pack of people from 2 waves behind me.
