Wow,

Looks like eveyone here works for a Marketing Corporation for their home towns!

I love CO, but I think it will be tough for her to agree to. I am going into optometry, and actually my sister and I will be going in together on a practice. At least that is the game plan right now.

TN and Viriginia might be the best of all worlds considered. My parents actually plan to retire around the lakes in Knoxville. And it would be closer to the lady's parents too.

But oh how Colorado is the dream...

Well, I love the Philly area.  And here no one will look at you funny if you paint your face green on Sundays!  But it's generally not considered a good place to come start a medical practice.  I'll probably never live anywhere outside the Midatlantic or Northeast (I like NH a lot too).  But if I were to choose a place outside of this corner of the world, CO would be near the top of my list.

Philly...Philly...oh yeah Philadelphia! My second home, but more importantly home of the

EAGLES!!!!

It has been nearly a week since we've seen any EAGLES love out there. Who is next on the chopping block on the way to the post season? No worries, cause I am sure the EAGLES can take 'em out.

Bummer if you don't come to CO, I need a new optometrist...

but, Blacksburg is a cool town, so is Charlottesville for that matter

AND, that would be poor DALLAS that the Eagles will stomp next.  Poor Gary in Michigan - his cowboys are no good....

Come on, COLORADO ROCKS!!!!Of course, I probably shouldn't be trying to talk people into moving here - we should all shut up and keep it to ourselves Seriously though, if you wife doesn't like snow, but you do, Denver is a nice place to live. It's not like most people imagine it is - it doesn't snow here all the time, and when it does, it melts pretty quickly. Last weekend, it was 60 degrees - great training weather! It does snow all winter in the mountains, so you can ski all the time, but don't really get sick of the winter. Here's a picture I took backpacking this summer...

As much as everybody would appreciate the free eye exam etc and I would be willling to neogtiate for some tri/perks...you might have to wait a couple years for it. Brother has to finish out his schooling.

But the CO pictures are absolutely gorgeous. I was in Denver for a conference last March. Most of my time was spent in Golden, up around the Ned and watching the 'Lanche. I love work related conferences!

Oh, and Stacers, where is that? I have a pretty lake too. It's Bighorn Lake in the Mt. Zirkel Wilderness.

And Lifesgreat, I totally can't disagree with your Utah suggestion. I love that state! I'm a little more in love with the desert part, but the Wasatches are awesome.

Kim - it's Crater Lake in the Indian Peaks Wilderness - about an 8 mile hike in from the Granby side of the wilderness.  One of the prettiest places I've camped - here's another view  of the mountain above the lake - really cool

Come on Mick, you know you want this to be in your backyard...

Oooooh, it's so cool! You can practically see the glaciers that formed it!!!

Here's another one of my favorite high country lakes (Lake Zimmerman, up by Cameron Pass, a great winter xc ski or snowshoe trip):

Oh and by they way, on this trip I learned that it's a bad idea to drink a bomber on an empty stomach at greater than 11,000 feet then physically exert yourself, even if you don't generally have altitude problems. :-)

I love the title:  glorious beer...........

Now that the CO people have totally hijacked the thread (you guys are the best!), if you decide to NOT come to CO (fool! - hehehe), then maybe you can visit in exchange for free eyeglasses.  There's a bunch of Philly fans here that I know

Yeah, I like the way we've all hijacked the thread just so we can geek out about all the pretty places we've been

I'll have to snowshoe up there Kim - looks cool.

And Cathy, why are you encouraging Eagles fans to come here?  We are BRONCOS fans here in Denver!!!!!!!!

Jo....maybe a few pics would help to sell. Those coloradians sure are picture happy and I think they may have the edge. (plus...in your favor...the cold temps don;t show up on film eh)
