  • 20m 14s
  • 750 meters
  • 02m 42s / 100 meters

Everybody headed straight out for the bouy and ended up way off course, I tried to be clever and head straight out, well that back fired, I ended up by myself and still way off course.

Now I now how Mel feels, I got stung for the first time on the way out. I made sure nothing was left in my Tri-suit.
What would you do differently?:

I know I need to do more swimming but I didn't really feel that bad.
Transition 1
  • 00m
  • 43m 37s
  • 21 kms
  • 28.89 km/hr

My bike leg is definitely getting better, I am just a little bummed about my overall result.
What would you do differently?:

Just keep plodding on with my training, I only averaged 29 and yet I still beat 2/3rds of the field, goes to show how tough it was.
Transition 2
  • 00m
  • 25m 30s
  • 5 kms
  • 05m 06s  min/km

Better but still not great, I really want to run under 5 min/km.
What would you do differently?:

Keep up with the run training, it obviously has done some good.

Hello! It was a tough race wasn't it, the bike course was unbelievably windy. I did a much slower bike time than normal too. I had a laugh at your swim course navigation comment, my hubby was in your wave and told me all about how you all swam off course

Great race yesterday!  ouch unlucky with the stinger in a race! It was windy, would have been a tough ride for you with that disk wheel!

good race though and i agree its a great venue I'm jealous I couldn't be out there racing with you guys,  but cheering and not having to get in the water and get stung was pretty good too.

hey nice race mate,

Went down to spectate, and saw your shiney new bike and wheels blowing about like a sail on the rack, i thought you might struggle to ride it in that wind, but you did pretty well.

It was funny to see how many people swam off track...even the pro's...

it is a good venue, i hope they do it again next year so i can give it go...

Nice race, and good luck with your next few weeks training...
