Good thing => Software update.

Now try to stay with me on this one...

First of all, the update itself has been one of the most royal pains in the posterior that could be conceived by the most diabolical of minds. Instead of being implemented in a one-shot global distribution, they opted for sending out individual invitations. People were held hostage for two and three days WAITING for their "invitation" to load the update. Absolutely idiotic.

And since that load (and "load" is a pretty good word here), there have been constant problems.

So... We get an email message to log off and leave our computers on during the weekend. But the message didn't say what TIME we were to be down. So I called the IT guys...

Today at 5, the system goes down, and stays down through Sunday.

Why is that good? Means I DO NOT have to work tomorrow! Woohoo!

Now if I could only go riding...

Good thing: having my body back again.

For the first time in over six years, as of today, I am not pregnant or nursing.  I love my kids but am thankful that they are not currently attached to me, in the literal sense of the word!

Good Thing: Autumn

Why?: The cooler weather means the fact Im too lazy to get the air con fixed in my car doesnt matter for another 6 months at least

Good Thing: My new $30 shoes

Why?: Because I feel sexy, hot and like a million dollars when I wear them (even if they destroy my feet in a day)

Good thing - - - Field day at my daughter's kindergarten

Why - - She had fun and it was great to see kids out playing tug-of-war and other games instead of inside.

Bonus - - My wife and I volunteered and we got to see all these kids. We now have more appreciation for how wonderful (and well-mannered) our daughter is.

A good thing: I did my 2nd sprint tri of the year this morning & it was a beautiful day in a beautiful park.

Another good thing: I talked my friend into doing this tri & she competed in her first tri & finished!  Way to go!

One more good thing:  We ate Mexican last night & I didn't eat my cheese enchilada so it was right here waiting for me when I got home.  YUMMMM

Hitting the PERFECT golf shot:

Take aim, perfect set up and perfect swing.  You don't even feel the club hit the ball, yet the ball flies low of the club face and then starts to raise into the air like a jet plane.  Higher and higher it goes.  So straight, so true, right at the target.  It begins to fall, almost floating down on the pin.  To land as if you just dropped it there with your hand......

THAT keeps you going back to the golf course time after time - that one perfect shot.....

(Also finding TAN after 18 months!)

My dad being five years sober at age 70 after having been told at 65 he'd be dead by 66 if he didn't stop drinking.

Hopefully the "why" is obvious...

Good Thing: The laughter of a child
Why: Because it is the most genuine, pure thing in the world and it always makes me laugh too..no matter how crappy the day was.
