Overall Rank = 1893/6040

Age Group Rank = 506/1459
Pre-race routine:

Woke up crack of stupid had coffee, toast anf showered and dressed. Knew it would be cold
Event warmup:

Decided to get off a subway stop early so I could walk a bit to warm up, this helped to get the juices flowing
Run
  • 2h 12m 14s
  • 13 miles
  • 10m 10s  min/mile
Comments:

Overall on of my strongest races yet. My nutrition was jus dialed in, only felt a little tired at 10 miles but has a bit of lunabar and some gatorade and was fine ater that
What would you do differently?:

Nothing -I achieved my goals or the day. Finish w/o re-injuring my foot at a somewhat respectable time. I managed to just come below last years time when I was at peak training so I think I'm on course for a great tri season as I haven't even started hard tri training yet.
Post race
Warm down:

Walked to get water and an apple, wrappd up in foil, changed and headed to the subway. STretched and talked to another triathlete while waiting for the train

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Being cautious with my foot (which was fine)

Event comments:

NYRR always does it right

Congratulations, Michelle!!  Great job of pacing yourself while still working it out on that course.  I'm so happy you're up and running and that injury has been put in its place.  Rock on, girl .
