Comments: great run for me. felt very strong the whole way - did not hammer as this isn't a rest week for me. spent much of the race weaving around the giant groups of teenage walkers. serious headwind on parts of the race. What would you do differently?: not a thing. make it not be windy? Post race
Warm down: panted my way to the bathroom (I had to pee starting around 1.5 miles). drank some water, stretched in the community center out of the wind. What limited your ability to perform faster: training, headwind. Event comments: great race, although there is also a 3 mile walk and there were a million teenagers that walked about 17 across. got numbers/shirts, bathroom stop. put shirts in car, jogged back to community center for another bathroom trip. breakfast was a bagel and some cheese.
this is the first race I've actually really warmed up for. did a little stretching, some jogging, some bouncing up and down to try to stay warm during the very windy start
