Subject: Purchased a New Bike, Need Shoes and Pedals

Hello everyone...

I recently purchased my first bike (Specialized Sequoia Elite) and I'm looking for suggestions regarding pedals and shoes. 

Can anyone provide any suggestions regarding what type of pedals or shoes I should look at which is consistent with my bike?  I don't have a top of the line bike, so I'm not certain where I should come in as far as pedals or shoes.

 Thanks for your opinions!

There are myriad of options. 

The favored pedals are brands such as Speedplay, Look Keo Classic (or other Looks), Time, SPD, etc.   I suggest that you set your budget and that will narrow your choices a bit. 

For shoes, it really is a matter of fit, price and style.
