Best ride in any race to date. However, I nearly wrecked while putting my water bottle back. I probably lost a minute at least, also my gears are sort of messed up. And, a group of about four of us missed a turn because the volunteer was nto there. The rider in front of me wrecked when he tried to turn around.
What would you do differently?:

Aero Bottle!!!!Get bike tuned up.

Great job!  Work a bit more on the swim and you'll be up there on all three disciplines!

Great race! Good time. Did you wear a wet suit? Roads were rough. Volunteers were young (college kids). Some were “with it” some were not. But it was a good experience for them.

I agree. It was cold! The water was a welcome relief until the hydrilla swamp…and getting out of the water. I biked with out socks…my feet were frozen too. I don’t understand for the life of me how I ran so fast. I could not feel me feet at all. Felt like I was running on large cubes of ice. About mile two they started to defrost. Mile 2.5 I thought a foreign object was in my shoe…nope, just my toe. Long day yesterday. Will post my race report later. Have fun at the Rookie!
