Run
Comments: I knew going into the race today that my legs weren't really feeling it since I'd worked out pretty hard the last two days. The first 1/2 mile was just suck it up and go time then things leveled out a bit. The steep uphill wasn't too bad on the first run. Overall not too bad since my legs were pretty tired. What would you do differently?: Not much. Transition 1
Comments: Forgot my shoes with speed laces again this morning. Dumb. Other than that it was ok. Kind of a long transition area so times weren't real good. What would you do differently?: Bring the speed laces. Bike
Comments: My legs were not happy with me. I managed to keep a decent pace but the uphills especially were making me hurt after doing so many hills yesterday. The last 3 miles started feeling ok. What would you do differently?: Not ride a hard 70 miler the day before. Transition 2
Comments: Again, forgetting the speed laces was a boneheaded move. What would you do differently?: Ditto Run
Comments: I really felt the last two days of training by the time the second run came around. Legs were dead, especially on the goat hill climb. Had a little left for a kick the last 1/3 of a mile though. Not too happy with this split. Oh well, it was a good speed workout. What would you do differently?: Get in better shape. Post race
Warm down: Got a drink, cleaned up transition, and hung out for the awards. My club, Tri-Fusion, cleaned up again and another good friend of mine was second AG in only his second multi-sport event. He had a great race. What limited your ability to perform faster: Working out hard the last two days. Last updated: 2008-04-13 12:00 AM

Not too complicated. Woke up, ate, packed gear, drove to race.
Got transition set up, ran about 2 minutes, then waited for the start. Had a lot of friends doing the race so chatted with them in transition and at the start line. After that they left me in the dust!
