Champion  7163     Verona WI--Ironman Bike Country! |  Subject: Danskin Women's Triathlon - ChicagolandThought I would start the early bird thread for this race. Is anybody doing one of the Danskin training groups? or have you done one before? This will be my first tri and I was thinking of joining the one in Madison. I am going to the Sally Edwards kick-off meeting next week. Anyone else? |

I'm not, but, provided my house doesn't sell*, I'm willing to let some BTer's who might be traveling to do the race stay at my place...I'm about 15-20 minutes from race site...
*My house has been on the market for awhile...like 10 months. I don't see it going anywhere soon... |

I'd love to throw my name in the hat for that offer (provided my husband is welcome as well). I did this race last year and really enjoyed myself. I'm planning on actually racing it this year assuming I make it through my half ironman injury-free. It was my first tri last year and so I kinda just went at it for the fun of it.  |

If I do it's going to be for the Oly and not the Danskin, but I'm still undecided. I've dropped so much $$$ this being my first season that it seems like a hefty investment. |

Provided my house has not sold by that time, yes. I don't have much as far as beds to sleep on (I have a click bed that's futon like that opens into a full bed) but I have a couch and floor space. Also keep in mind that I have 2 cats so, if there are allergies, it probably wouldn't be the best situation for you. |
