Run
Transition 1
Comments: There was no beginning run segment. Swim was first. Format was Swim / Run. Swim
Comments: Good strong swim for me. Passed 3 or 4 people who were in front of me. Was not passed by anyone else. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Keep practicing swimming. Transition 2
Comments: Just needed to remove my cap and goggles, and put on my running shoes.. well, slip them on. (Yankz). Was quick. Ran sockless. Was not an issue. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Run
Comments: Course was longer than 5k. Trust me when I say that I did not run 3.1 miles in 24:38. 8:xx per mile.. nope. I was definietly in the 7's. What would you do differently?: Legs were not fully under me. Just ran 26.2 two weeks ago, and have some lung crud. Probably should have been around 22 ish. Post race
Warm down: FInshed, and chatted with kids and friends. What limited your ability to perform faster: Nothing really. I mean some things, but they are just excuses. Event comments: This is a nice pre-season tune up. If this was baseball, this would be spring training. The run course is not easy, and makes for a nice challenge. Plenty of opportunities to get the heart rate up there. Emory university Cycling and Tri team does a nice job with this. Loved the shirt. It's actually wearable. My guess is that a female picked it out and designed it. Minimal, and great color. Last updated: 2008-02-12 12:00 AM

Drank a Boost 1 hour, and took a GU 15 min prior to start.
Did pre-race warm up swim. Helped a lot.
