Comments: 1k 4:58 Weaving through the crowds. Tried to keep a good pace but avoiding shifting my line and pace too much to pass people. 2k 5:08 Climbing starts 3k 4:42 Made up some ground on the flat sections 4k 5:12 Toughest climb of the race. 5k 5:19 Are we going to be heading uphill all day? 6k 4:03 Oh my! The eternal downhill. Passed gazillions of people. I think we just recovered all of the altitude we had gained in the previous 5km's. 7k 5:38 I felt I had maybe pushed too hard on the downhill and tried to regrouo and catch my breath. Fall into pace. 8k 4:23 Feeling strong 9k 4:37 Pushing it! 10k 4:42 Dropped the pace for about a minute then proceeded to run hard and sprint a bit toward the end. What would you do differently?: Though this was about 1:30 min slower than my PB, this felt like a great run. Of course, when I shoot for my PB, I won't run 11k before that. This was my last long run before my half mary on May 4th! Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: An extremely long warm up. Too many uphill km's and only one really long downhill. Last updated: 2008-04-20 12:00 AM

Got up at 5:30 and had a banana and then ran from home to race start.
Ran 11k at a very easy pace. It's not so great to start any run from home: too many steep climbs and long downhills + bad roads.
Got to the line about 15 min. before the start. Had a banana HammerGel, yum! Found Mayde and stretched.
