Had a Tim Horton's Breakfast Sandwich as we left 2 hours prior to race. Went to transition to set up stuff - it's been almost a year since my last triathlon, so I had to remember how to set up transition! :)

Event comments:

Considering a TON of snow dumped on Nanaimo the day before, I wasn't even sure this race would go. But no snow at the race, and it actually wasn't THAT cold... I still need so much work on my bike, but I was pleased with the improvements on my swim and run!

NO MORE Sooke races!!! Sooke = HILLS

Good race Michelle!
I volunteered - I was stationed at the entrance to T1 and the exit of T2 - and I thought everyone did a great job ... looked good and strong, despite the wind and the frigid temps ... at least the sun came out! It was a good day.

Too bad I didn't get a chance to meet another fellow BT'er in person - there were quite a few of us there.
