Comments:

I was really disappointed with my swim time, I've done a lot better in my training. If anyone has some ideas on how to improve I would love to hear them.
What would you do differently?:

I don't know, but something has to improve.

I thought this went really well, probably could have pushed a bit harder, but I didn't want to wear myself out for the run.

Event comments:

Best race I've done so far (out of 1 race I've done.) Finished 37/178 for first-timers. Overall very happy with results. Achieved my goal of under 1:10

Nice race.  Is it your first?  Or at least first for the yeat?  Don't worry, things will come around as the year progresses.

Since you are in Davenport, you doing the Quad Cities Triathlon in June?

Thank you. Yes, this was my first triathlon, and yes I do plan on doing the QC Tri in June. I enjoyed the race a lot and had a great time. Can't wait for the next race I am planning on doing (Trifesta in Carterville, IL on May 24.). The QC tri will be my first race that doesn't require a ridiculous amount of travel.

Great race!  Glad you had fun especially after travelling such a long way!  And I wouldn't worry to much about the swim...sounds like a lot of folks had trouble in the pool yesterday.  Must have been all that waiting around.

Nice job TRIATHLETE!
you know, most first timers set a goal to finish.
You not only did that but came in 37 of 178 first timers with a very respectable time overall!

Have a great season and it was nice to meet you.
