Actually...that's negative 5.  1-6 = -5    We could start talking about absolute value...

|1-6| = 5

Hehe...OK, I give up.  See?  I leave my phone in the car and don't get your call, and now I'm telling you you're a negative number...sheesh...some friend I am.

Remind me to kick your when I see you next!

Bib # 520. Wouldn't that be a nice finish time? 5:20. I think I'll just concentrate on getting under 6:30.

Dang, if you're old, I'm older....1988 is when I graduated college.  But 3 was my favorite number in grade school, so I think you're destined to have a good race.

thanks.. at least that makes ONE of us who feels I am destined to have a good race.... my race would probably be better if I could get one of the people in the boats/kayaks on the swim to dangle a beer in front of me so I am able to finish the swim...

If my wave goes off before yours...I'll tie a beer to my ankle for you.  will that work?

Anyone wanna try and meet up for dinner on Saturday night?

I think I'm just gonna hit Carrabba's on International Drive. I'm not gonna worry about reservations or anything, I'll just show up around 5pm. Anyone care to join?

I need to confirm with dinner or not with a friend in the area.  Otherwise, I am in.

I am number 917.  I guess if I add them together I get 17, which added together is 8, which turned 90 degrees is infinity, which is the max time I am shooting for.  Pretty cosmic, ehh?

I think we should start a few more 70.3 threads so we have to look in twelve different places to see what is going on and who is doing what   Here's what I found on the front page of Iron Distance and Florida.

Not sure, that is where I am staying also. Wilderness resort has a few pools, but like most disney pools, they will probably be jammed with kids. Get it in early. You can always ride around disney, but there is alot of traffic.

you can swim here at least on saturday am:  luckyslakeswim.com.  I don't know about biking.  Check one of the other 10 or so threads for information on biking   Bet you could ride on much of the course.

The Orange County section is ridable before the race. Other than the highway there was not a lot of traffic last year.

Good luck!

Well my bib number is 69. Seriously! Stop giggling.

I am taking it as a good sign, since it is my wife's birth year and my first 70.3.

I can't wait.

Just an update...anyone who was interested in meeting for dinner on Saturday at 5 at Carrabba's.  It's not on International Drive, it's on Vineland Road by the Premium Outlets near Downtown Disney.  The location I was thinking of is an Olive Garden...sorry, I haven't lived in Orlando in over 2 years, I've forgotten where things are!

Anyway, so the dinner plan is 5pm at the Carrabba's at 8702 Vineland Road, Orlando. When I walk in I'm just gonna tell them that I'm from Beginner Triathlete and that some other people from our group might come in, and if they do, if the hostess could seat them near us, that would be great.  If you decide to come have dinner, just tell them you're with BT and hopefully they'll have tables near us.  I figure at 5pm it probably won't be too busy yet.

Definitely looking forward to this weekend!  Hope to see everyone there!
