Comments: I felt good. Did the first mile in 7:02, second mile in 7:23. Felt a bit tuckered out at the end. My time is not fast yet (need to get down under 21:00 for a stand alone 5K), but it was another PR for these "new" days of competition. What would you do differently?: Everything went well. I trained a lot more then usual over the past 25 days and unexpectedly took the entire day off before the race. Post race

Drank one bottle of wine and one shot of brandy in order to finally fall asleep at 11:30PM (chronic sleep trouble).
I live 50 miles from the event. I got up at 6:40 and left the house at 7:40. I ate nothing but stretched a lot and drank at least 25 ounces of water.
I ran for about 5 minutes. It did not feel well, but I think it was because I was very anxious.
