Pre-race routine:

Woke up at 5am, ate a banana, and left for the race. The closer I got the more anxious I got. This is typical for me.
Event warmup:

Stood around waiting for the race to start. Stretched very little, but it seemed to be enough at the time. Maybe I should work on that a little more.

Comments:

The day was a great all around running day. Though a little humid and hazy in the beginning, it became very nice as the race went on.
What would you do differently?:

Eat more food both before and during the race. I have a bad habbit of focussing to much on the race and not replacing any calories till the end of the race. A possible reason for falling out towards the end.
Post race
Warm down:

Mostly just walked around to keep slow my heart rate. Once my heart stopped racing I changed into dry clothes at first oppertunity.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Oh, this list could get lenthy. I will keep it short and sweet: Lack of training. My longest run going into this was only eight miles.

Event comments:

Due to traffic issues the race started late. It could have been much worse of course, and it was only a few minutes.

Thanks, I try.

I always feel that I could give more, even at my fastest there is always more in the tank that I could have used.  I want to get where I can hold a 8min/mi for a full marathon, so I still have some work to do.
